Felix Weighs In
Our health visitor, Lone, came to see us for her fourth or fifth visit since Felix's arrival to check on how things are going with the little guy (ah, the Danish health care system could really teach the US one a thing or two...) Every time she comes, Felix gets weighed and measured and then we are able to ask her any questions we have about what's currently going on with him (Why isn't he sleeping through the night yet? Is it all right that he's always rubbing his ears when he's tired? When might some teeth start showing up? Etc.) Anyway, Lone's calculations this time put Felix at 6.9 kilos (15.2 lbs.) and 65 cm (25.6 inches) which she thinks is perfect (and we do too.)

Italia, baby!
Felix turned 5 months old on our two-week family vacation to Italy. We had a wonderful time eating lots of pasta, pizza, gelatto and tiramisu and loved our morning cappuccinos as well. Felix experienced his first plane ride, though we used all modes of transport on our trip-- well, not Vespa, but plane, train, car, boat & bus! We had wonderful weather almost everyday and we took advantage by doing lots of walking, sight-seeing and went swimming lots too. In sum, Italy is choice. We'd highly recommend visiting if you have the chance!
For the second week of our Italian holiday, we stayed in the small town of Levanto, just north of the Cinque Terre. We had an amazing view of the town and beach from our 11th floor apartment.
We went to the beach in Levanto, which is sometimes called the Italian Riviera.
